Lyca clears way for ENPT by funding GVM’s next

Things have started to fall in place for Gautham Menon, slowly but surely. Last week, we had reported that the director had finalised a film with Suriya that will be bankrolled by Lyca. Sources also told us that Gautham had planned to use the advance remuneration to release the long-pending Enai Nokki Paayum Thota. However, there was no response from Gautham after reaching London.

The latest news is that sources, who are working for the release of Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta told DT Next that Lyca will hand over the advance money to the director only later this month.

An office-bearer from the South Indian Film Financiers’ Association told us, “They have asked him to wait till Kaapaan’s release next week. This means, Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta’s release has also been postponed till November. With the release of Kaapaan, Namma Veetu Pillai, Asuran, Bigil and Kaidhi, it would be difficult to acquire screens.”

An official word on ENPT’s release date will be made by Gautham in the coming days.
