In an interaction with DTNext, the Aaya Re Thaackeray singer said, “The response has been overwhelming.
People from various quarters have been talking about the song, which is what a singer yearns for.” Nakash said that Imman had approached him a few days ago to record the song for him. “I was excited to croon for it as soon as he explained to me what the song is about. It’s a fast number and had a great time recording it. Coming from Bombay, I learn my lines for a Tamil or a Telugu song and ask for the meaning. It is important for a singer to get his/her pronunciation right,” he added.
Prior to this, the singer had crooned for chartbusters Ullalla from Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta and Peela Peela from Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Kootam (both composed by Anirudh Ravichander). “Namma Veetu Pillai is my second-time collaboration with Imman and have worked with Anirudh thrice. They both are brilliant composers and it has been an amazing journey working with them.”
