However, after Kamal became busy with his political commitments, there was no update on the progress of the film. There were even reports that the film has been shelved due to misunderstandings between the production house and the actor.
Recently, the makers announced that the shoot of the film will resume soon and revealed that Priya Bhavani Shankar and Aishwarya Rajesh have been roped in as the female leads. The latest we hear is that actor Bobby Simha, who was last seen in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta, has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film.A source close to the team says, “The makers are in talks with Bobby Simha to play one of the villains in the film. His role will be a pivotal one and he will have combination scenes with Kamal and Siddharth. But he is yet to sign the film.”
Earlier, there was speculation that Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has been approached to play the main antagonist in the film. However, sources say that Ajay Devgn couldn’t be a part of the project due to date issues. While Siddharth and Priya will join the sets by the end of this month,Aishwarya Rajesh portions will be shot only by next month.
Meanwhile, Kamal is also reviving his long-delayed film, Thalaivan Irukkiran, which will have AR Rahman as the composer.
