Post the success of Kanchana 3, choreographer-turned-director Raghava Lawrence has announced that he is all set to make his debut in Bollywood and will be directing Akshay Kumar in Kanchana remake. Within a month, the director revealed that the first look poster of his Hindi film was released without his consent and wanted to opt out of the project for the same reason.

While the issue was sorted out in an amicable way, reports are now doing the rounds that Lawrence has already finalised his next project in Tamil and begun working on it. His upcoming film will be produced by Sun Pictures and will have himself playing the lead. A source close to the team tells us that it will be a superhero film, which will be made in a 3D format.

“The film will be made on a mammoth budget and major portions of it will be shot abroad. The makers are currently in talks with some of the leading actors in Bollywood to play the female lead. An official announcement will be made in the coming days.”

We also hear that Lawrence is planning to rope in some of the top technicians from Hollywood, who were a part of Rajinikanth-Shankar’s 2.0.

Interestingly, its been only a few days since actor Jai announced that he will be playing a superhero in his upcoming project, titled Breaking News. Meanwhile, Lawrence is also working on the script of Kanchana 4, which might be announced post the release of his Hindi film.
