It’s official: Director Vijay set to get married again

The latest is that Vijay has finally agreed to get married again and the date has also been fixed. The Madrasapattinam director will tie the knot to Aishwarya, a doctor by profession, on July 11 at a private ceremony in the city. Vijay said, “Like everyone in this world, my life too had ups and downs. However, this journey has always been special and I have earned immense support from media as well. I am happy to announce that I will be getting hitched to Dr Aishwarya soon. It’s an arranged marriage and it is going to be a private ceremony which will be held in July. With all blessings, I am embarking on a new chapter of life.” It can be recalled that Amala Paul and Vijay got divorced in early 2017. Vijay once hinted that there were trust issues between him and Paul and he refused to talk in depth in public about his private life. On the professional front, Vijay is gearing up to direct multilingual movie Thalaivi, a biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
