Was Kamal the reason for Rajini’s picture being removed?

A large portrait of Superstar Rajinikanth’s look from Petta and Kamal Haasan’s character from Virumaandi were spotted on the walls of the house. However, much to everyone’s surprise, Sunday’s episode saw Rajini’s sketch missing from the sets, while Kamal’s portrait was prominant and visible.

Following this, Rajinikanth’s fans took to Twitter to criticise Kamal and accused him of having been the reason behind the removal of Rajini’s picture. Actor Premji, an ardent fan of Superstar, also commented on his social media page that it’s not possible for the makers to remove Superstar from people’s heart. A source in the know of things says, “Rajini’s image shows him smoking a cigarette. That’s one of the reasons why the creative team of the show decided to remove it. However, the fans took it personal.” Interestingly, we hear that the makers of the show had apparently removed Rajini’s portrait and replaced it with another photo of Kamal on the day they invited the media for a photo opportunity.
