Jeevan is back with a sci-fi film titled Asariri
Actor Jeevan, who set the ball rolling in K’town with his performances in films like Kaakha Kaakha, Thiruttu Payale and Naan Avan Illai, is now back with a film titled Asariri after a hiatus of four years post Adhibar.

The movie will be helmed by debutant GK. “I had directed a short film under the same title that won the award in Radaan Short Film Festival.
However, the storyline is entirely different from that. Then I pitched in my idea to Jeevan, who at first couldn’t grasp the twists and turns of the plot. When I told him the story again, he was impressed and gave the nod,” he told DT Next.
Talking about Jeevan agreeing to do a film after a long time, he said, “Jeevan was looking for the right scripts and author-backed roles. Asariri will have him in different shades. Also, as the title suggest this sci-fi flick will revolve around sound engineering. The film will talk about the future and will travel back in time.”
The film, which will be bankrolled by IB Karthikeyan of Big Print Pictures is in its pre-production stage. “We are looking for the right heroine and music director. Though the film is a sci-fi flick, the film is made on a medium budget as it mainly involves sound. We are looking to begin shooting for the film from September,” GK added.
Talking about the shooting locations, GK said, “The film will be predominantly shot in Kodaikanal. The story happens in the backdrop of a hill station. Though the story will have Jeevan in different shades, the film will still cater to the audience across all ages. Being a sci-fi film, the story isn’t complicated neither. It is about how a family has fallen prey to modern day science.”
