Vijay’s sports drama likely to be titled CM

For the past couple of weeks, there have been many reports circulating on social media about the progress of Vijay’s upcoming film with Atlee. Recently, actress Reba Monica’s look from the film was also leaked, eventually giving us a hint about her character—- that of an acid-attack survivor.

Now, a new rumour has surfaced online about the film’s title. While there are many speculations that the film has been titled Verithanam, a reliable source told us that the makers are considering titling the film as CM. The source said, “Vijay is playing the role of a football coach in the film, and his character name is Clement Michael.

That’s one of the reasons why the makers are planning to title the film as CM or Captain Michael. However, nothing has been finalised yet.”

The source added, “Other names that are circulating on social media are mere rumours. An official announcement will be made regarding the same in June.” The team had been continuously shooting for the last 70 days without break and it was also informed that the fourth schedule has already begun in Chennai. Huge sets of a football stadium were constructed on the East Coast Road, where a major part of the film was shot.

The makers are planning to release the film on Deepavali 2019. While Nayanthara is paired opposite Vijay in the film, actors like Yogi Babu, Vivekh, Daniel Balaji and Kathir are also a part of this project. AR Rahman will be composing music for the film. In one of the recent interviews, Rahman also told that he hasn’t worked on such a project in Tamil.
