    Digi-transformation to contribute USD 154 billion to India’s GDP by 2021

    The smart adoption of technology in Enterprises and Societies can help us leapfrog in productivity and achieve the vision of becoming a $10 trillion economy by 2030, said Krishnakumar Natarajan, Chairman, CII Connect 2018 and Exec Chairman Mindtree Ltd.

    Natarajan was speaking in the backdrop of the upcoming Connect 2018 – the flagship annual ICT conference of CII in partnership with the state government. Aligned with the Digital India initiatives, the two-day event beginning on Tuesday, will feature exclusive sessions and panel discussions showcasing the fast-paced growth of ICT sector in India and TN, besides highlighting the state’s potential in the ICT industry. The conference will also focus on the importance of favourable policies to streamline the growing start-up ecosystem and the need to encourage disruptive innovations and inclusive digital growth which would further strengthen the growth of ICT industry.

    Connect 2018 will focus on the theme – ‘Accelerating Progress: Inclusive Digital Growth.’   The Software Technology Parks of India is the Co-Host for Connect 2018.

    Natarajan said, “Digi-transformation will contribute about $154 bn to India’s GDP by 2021.

    Technologies becoming the core for businesses and societies is a great opportunity for India.  The mass adoption of connected digital services by consumers, enterprises and governments in recent years has emerged as a key economic driver that accelerates growth and facilitates job creation in India.”
