CavinKare-MMA Innovation Awards handed out

The 7th edition of the CavinKare-MMA Chinnikrishnan Innovation Awards 2018 honoured three small scale entrepreneurs for their innovations and three individuals for their ideas. The chief guest was Suresh Krishna, Chairman, Sundram Fasteners Ltd, TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons (P) Ltd.

The Awards honour entrepreneurs and identifies growing SMEs in terms of uniqueness, benefit to people and its ability to scale. Established in 2011, the award is dedicated to Late R Chinnikrishnan – the father of the sachet revolution. This year, a Great Ideas category was introduced to recognise individuals with the capacity to transform lives with ideas.

CK Ranganathan – CMD, CavinKare (P) Ltd. said, “It is inspiring to see the increase in the number of applicants over the years. With the newly introduced category – Great Ideas, the recipients will achieve many such milestones, inspiring others around.” L Ramkumar, President, Madras Management Association said, “All the winners will be mentored by CavinKare and MMA across various business fronts in Marketing, Patenting, R&D, Fund sourcing & HR skills to enhance their venture.”

Entrepreneurs awarded under Innovations include TM Veerabahu, Founder & MD, Cybernoid Healthcare, Gokul Shrinivas, Founder & CEO, MinionLabs India and M Murugesan, Director, Rope Production Centre. Saranya Sriram, Dr S Ramani and K Mohanraj were awarded under the Great Ideas Category.
