Chanda Kochhar to re-join ICICI Securities

Kochhar, who was asked to go on leave since June 19, is faced with a SEBI probe into the alleged irregularities in the private bank. 

A notice for the AGM of ICICI Securities said, “Appointment of Chanda Kochhar, who retires by rotation and being eligible, offers herself for re-appointment: To consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolution as an Ordinary Resolution.”

The AGM is scheduled for 30 August 2018. Apart from the probe, the bank’s Board had constituted an “independent enquiry.” It may be recalled ICICI Bank’s insurance arm Sandeep Bakshi was appointed as whole-time director and COO.
