Home automation Co plans more experience zones in South

The four-year-old enterprise, which hopes to make a mark in the luxury home automation space, has plans to expand its retail footprint in the South and is in talks to develop the automation projects of a few upcoming star hotels. The market for home automation in India is expected to cross Rs 30,000 cr by 2022, as per a 2017 report by Renub Research. 

The segment is creating major opportunities for local and international companies. Currently, the residential clientele has the highest market share, whereas in product category, the security market is the clear winner in the market. Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru have a combined market share of more than 50 percent in the total home automation market. And Chennai is beginning to catch up in this space.  

Siddhant Jain, the CEO of the company says, “Our family business traditionally began as an OEM and we were into product development alongside juggling multiple businesses. Four years ago, we figured there was a big opportunity in the luxury smart homes space. 

Most affluent clients tend to order their AV or smart home equipment online as the market for such devices is still a niche segment in India. We decided change that scenario and to set up our business with a focus on high net worth individuals (HNIs) in the country who were willing to pay a premium for our services.” 

He adds, “Currently, we have taken up projects of smart automation for villas and luxury homes in Bengaluru, Kerala, Hyderabad and Mumbai. In a span of two to three years, we intend to setup our Experience Centres in these cities as well.”
