The company which already has 18 stores pan India, including two in Chennai, plans to add 10 more outlets pan-India before the end of the year. Having recently revamped one of its outlets in the city, it is mulling to bring out one more store here this year.

Abhinav Zutshi, COO, Splash Fashion, says, “We are currently operating about 18 stores, covering roughly 1,20,000 sq ft of retail space. We have been in India for 8 and a half years. The new store in Chennai is basically relocation of an existing outlet. Chennai is one of our oldest markets, and we wanted to bring our new format to this city. We have been in the business for over 25 years, in the Gulf and in India, through our parent company Landmark, which is one of the largest retailers in the Middle-East. We have been present across multiple formats like Lifestyle, Maxx, Home Centre. Splash is on its way to creating its own niche segment. Chennai is a big market for us, which is why we piloted a brand-new apparel store concept here.”

The store is enabled to go into the omni-channel mode in a month’s time. Using a digital catalogue, a product, which might not even be available, can be ordered within a few clicks. The company, which sells its products online, through major e-tailers will have its dedicated site shortly. “In the next six months, the brand will have its own e-commerce portal for the Indian market up and running too. The brand is a looking at double digit growth this year,” Zutshi signs off.
