Zoho’s IoT division in pact with Bengaluru firm for EMS

The two companies have partnered to bring IoT enabled energy management solutions to the industrial IoT space. According to officials, the collaboration brings together WebNMS’ scalable Internet of Things (IoT) platform and ElMeasure’s experience in energy management and metering hardware manufacturing. 

It will enable ElMeasure to provide specialised Energy Management Solutions (EMS) to various industry verticals like textile, pharma, automobile, commercial and residential buildings. This partnership takes forward ElMeasure as one of the early adopters of IoT technology in the energy space in India.

Experts believe that the global energy landscape is transforming and the demand for energy management is expected to grow to 28% by 2040. The extent of this increase is likely to be curbed by improvements in energy efficiency. Increasingly, more companies around the world are directing their efforts towards using energy more sustainably. While industries and buildings are the largest markets for final energy consumption, studies say these industries waste close to 30 pc of the total energy made available to them for their operations.
