Wabag bags Rs 386 cr order from Bengaluru govt
VA Tech Wabag won a Rs 386 cr Design, Build and Operate order from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for a 150 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at K&C Valley Bengaluru.

The company, a leading, pure-play water technology Indian MNC player in water and waste water treatment and recycling, will design and build this plant to meet the recent guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) policy mechanism. The plant will be designed based on an Activated Sludge Process with Biological Nutrient Removal System and Power Generation.
Post construction of the STP, WABAG will also operate and maintain the plant for a period of 10 years. This plant will help to protect and improve upon the natural environmental resources near Bellandur Lake in Bengaluru. Pankaj Sachdeva, CEO of Wabag India Cluster said, “This repeat order from BWSSB is another feather in our cap showcasing our technological prowess.”
