Ticketing site ties up with major theatre groups

These four prominent theatre chains own theatres in the country’s top markets and currently operate more than 1,600 screens.

With this deployment of screens nationwide, the 10-year-old, city-based operator will offer online movie ticketing to over 4,100 screens nationwide. The company is on a quest to turn into one of the largest online movie ticketing platforms in the country. It currently has a presence in 400 plus cities covering 21 states and 5 UTs. Ramkumar Nammalvar, Founder, TicketNew said, “We’re pleased to add these four names to our growing list of prominent theatres, as the continued expansion of our footprint into urban and rural markets further strengthens the value of our service.” He added that this was the largest theatre screen deployment in the company’s 10- year history.” 

Among the states, TicketNew, has 250-300 screens in Tamil Nadu.
