CHENNAI: As the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government led by MK Stalin stepped into its third year on Sunday, the Chief Minister and DMK Supremo MK Stalin said his government would ignore criticisms and move on to serve the people.

"Before assuming office, I said, this government is for all those who voted for this and those who did not vote for us. I also promised that this government will function in a way to make those who voted for this government happy and make those who failed to vote regret why they failed to vote for this government. This government's functioning continues on this line. I don't care about criticism, I take the good ones and discard the bad ones," he told reporters after paying respect at former chief minister Karunanidhi's memorial at Marina.

Stalin also visited the residence of M Karunanidhi at Gopalapuram and paid homage to the portrait of Karunanidhi and received the blessings of his mother Dayalu Ammal and later he visited the party headquarters Anna Arivalayam and met the party functionaries.

Ahead of the two-year completion, MK Stalin inaugurated the Two-year achievement expo and released the album titled "Eedilla Aatchi..Eerande Saatchi''.

Later in the day, MK Stalin inaugurated the AVM Heritage Museum at AVM Studios, Vadapazhani, Chennai.

The museum houses old equipment used in mixing and editing, movie artefacts and around 40 cars and 20 bikes used by various actors and the founder of AVM, AV Meyyappa Chettiar.

Earlier in the day, taking to Twitter, MK Stalin said that the DMK government, which has come to power for the sixth time, is completing the second year and entering into the third year and every day that moves in the calendar is a day that benefits the country.

"We are making plans every day. We are witnessing the development in every town and the prosperity in each department. The grand journey of the Dravidian Model of democracy, which has attracted attention from all directions, will continue unabated for decades to come, " he added.

Ministers K Ponmudi, P K Sekar Babu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, MP TR Balu, Actors Kamal Haasan and Sivakumar, Poet Vairamuthu accompanied Stalin at various events.
