CHENNAI: DMK President and Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday urged his party men to use all possible social media platforms to spread the policies and achievements of the State government and the party.

"Once we used political stages, dramas, cinema and writings to spread our policies to the people. We did spread our policies as poems, stories and novels. But, now due to technological developments we have adapted to the changes. We should communicate to the people in all available social media platforms such as Facebook, Youtube, WhatsApp, Twitter, Sharechat, Instagram and Telegram. Now, the majority of people use social media platforms and according to a recent survey 74 per cent of the people use mobile phones to read news. So, we should use all the available facilities in social media to spread our achievements," said Stalin, during his speech in Twitter spaces.

DMK IT Wing celebrated September as Dravidian month and hosted the programme 'Dravidian month' in Twitter spaces in which prominent intellectuals, Dravidian ideologues, Ministers, MPs and party functionaries spoke. On the final day, the Chief Minister spoke about 'Dravidian government' in which he highlighted the works of the ruling DMK government and rendered advice to his party men on the work they should undertake to counter the fundamental forces.

"People who do not have history are continuously trying to spread false information about DMK and the IT wing is doing a good job to counter them but you should function more efficiently and quickly,” said Stalin.
