TIRUCHY: The body of Muthukumaran from Tiruvarur, who was shot dead in Kuwait reportedly by his employee, arrived at Tiruchy airport and Ministers KN Nehru, Gingee KS Masthan and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi received the body and handed over it to the family members after paying a floral tribute on Friday.

Find your job through the Overseas Manpower Corporation (OMC) run by the state government, which would ensure your safety and security and the government would provide you proper support when you are in trouble, said Minister of Minority Welfare, Wakf Board and Non Resident Tamil Welfare Gingee KS Masthan.

Speaking to reporters, Masthan said that soon after the DMK formed government, Chief Minister MK Stalin had asked to create awareness among job aspirants to get to know about the nature of job by registering in the OMC which would ensure their safety and job security.

“Among the registered job seekers, as many as 152 persons passed away earlier and 116 persons in the past year and the state government could get them proper support, including the financial assistance to the family of the victims,” the Minister said.

He also said that there were minor errors in the registration of Wakf Board lands that were made manually. “Instead of mentioning the survey numbers of lands, the village name was enclosed and this resulted in confusion.”
