Coronavirus, COVID-19 is spreading throughout the world disrupting livelihoods. Following this, extracts claiming to be from a book called Eye of Darkness by Dean Koontz released in 1981 is going viral on social media.

The book predicts an outbreak of a virus called Wuhan-400 and it was mentioned in the book, that China used the virus as a weapon to conquer territories. This is similar to coronavirus as the disease’s origin is Wuhan.

The viral image also has another extract in which the year 2020 has been mentioned. It also predicts the outbreak of an epidemic which will claim lives.

The extracts are from two different books: Eye of Darkness and End of Days respectively.

In the passage that is going viral on social media it has been mentioned that in the year 2020, a pneumonia-like disease will arise which will cause 100% fatality rate and the disease will disappear after a while.

As predictions goes, it may or may not specify coronavirus.
