Is there a shortage of Hydroxycholoquine stocks in Mumbai?

The Press Information Bureau declared the claim to be false as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has provided 34 lakh tablets of HCQ to Maharastra until April 9, 2020.

A rumour stating that there is  a shortage of hydroxycholoquine (HCQ) stocks in Mumbai. This comes following the Government's order to lift the ban of its export and the United States purchased the medicine for treating coronavirus. It is not sure if Hydroxycholoquine is effective against the virus.

The Press Information Bureau declared the claim to be false as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has provided 34 lakh tablets of HCQ to Maharastra until April 9, 2020.
