A popular video on social media claims Swami Vivekananda addressing a crowd in Chicago, USA.

The viral video is captioned that Swami Vivekananda was addressing a crowd in Chicago way back in 1893.

However, the video was found to be a short clipping from a movie. The director of the film, Karthik Saragur confirmed that the viral video is actually a movie scene. About 2 minutes of video footage from the film are shared on English and Hindi languages on social platforms. The video has been surfacing on social websites titled 'The Greatest Speech by Swami Vivekananda at an All Religious Conference'.

On searching the details about the video through screenshots, the video was found on YouTube with the title ‘Swami Vivekananda – 2012, new film’. The viral video starts from the 13th minute of the movie.

It is certain that the man in the viral video is not Swami Vivekananda. The film was released online in four languages such as Hindi, English, Kannada and Tamil.
