A videoclip of a Police officer attacking a protesting student has gone viral onsocial media.

The videofeatures footage of a Delhi police attacking protesters who are claimed to befighting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

The viralvideo was originally taken in 2016 during the investigation of student RohitVemula’s suicide. The video has nothing to do with the current protests across the country regarding CAA.

All IndiaCongress National Secretary Dheeraj Gurjar took to his official Twitter handleto post this viral video. His caption read, “Who are these people with thePolice and who are these men seen brutally attacking women? Is this how the Modigovernment pays respect to women?”. The post has been liked and shared by many. 

The video posted by Dheeraj Gurjar currently has 1.3k retweets and 2k likes.

The videois also viral on Facebook. The video’s caption on Facebook claims that it hasbeen taken in Lucknow.
