DeTect: Remdesivir vials found in Punjab canal were fake

A video of medicines and vials of injections floating in Punjab’s Bhakra canal has gone viral.

A BJP functionary rebuked the Punjab government by saying, “Thousands of injections are dumped in the Bhakra canal. Who is responsible?” Alt News found that the state’s Drug Control Officer had confirmed that the vials were fake. The packaging of the vials recovered from the Bhakra canal matches the packaging of fake vials.
