A herbivorous crocodile named Babia, known as divine guardian of the Sri Ananthapadmanabha Swamy temple in Kasaragod district, Kerala, had recently died. Since then, a picture of a man resting his head on the snout of a crocodile in a lake, has gone viral with the claim that it is of Babia. Alt News found the man in the pic is not from Kerala, but Costa Rica. The names of the man and the crocodile are Chito and Pocho. Documentaries based on their friendship were released almost a decade ago.
