That same evening, a few news channels reported that the event was cancelled since Khattar was not able to attend due to bad weather. Alt News found it was incorrectly reported the reason for cancellation was bad weather. The actual cause was that in the aftermath of heavy opposition from farmers in Karnal, protesters had reached the venue of the rally even before the CM, leading to the cancellation.
