Youth’s body fished out after 3 days

The body of a youth, who drowned in a farm well three days ago, was recovered by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel on Tuesday.

Chokkan (20), son of Peter of Malaimedu in Ambur consumed alcohol with his two friends. 

All three of them jumped into a nearby farm well for a swim. As Chokkan did not know swimming, he drowned. 

His friends, Kittu and Prabakaran, made attempts to retrieve Chokkan’s body, but in vain. 

So, they alerted the fire and rescue services, who rushed to the spot and began a search operation. 

Later, NDRF personnel from Arakkonam joined the fire service team. 

Finally, the personnel managed to recover Chokkan’s body on Tuesday. 

Ambur town police registered a case and sent the body to Ambur government hospital for post-mortem.
