Youth, 2 bulls injured as lorry rams cart

A youth and two bulls were injured when a sand laden bullock cart rammed a mini lorry used for illegal sand quarrying, near Melvisharam in the early hours of Thursday.

Sources said that in the accident at Sadiq Bashanagar, two bulls and a youth identified as Vinod Kumar (17),driving the cart were injured. The youth was treated at the local hospital. Police who are investigating said that there was no quarried sand in the lorry at the time ofthe accident.
