Vellore school bags first prize in math quiz

Subeam Higher Secondary School, Vellore, bagged the first prize in the mathematical competition under the English medium category, organised by the Maths department of VIT’s School of Advanced Sciences, recently.

The second and third prizes were won by Vidyalakshmi School and the Lakshmi Garden School respectively. A total of 2,200 students from Classes 6 to 12 from 51 schools in Vellore, Ranipet and Tirupattur district, participated in the competition, sources revealed.


Under the Tamil medium category, the first prize was won by the Government Higher Secondary School at Karnampet. The second prize was won by Islamiah Higher Secondary School in Vaniyambadi while the third prize was bagged by the panchayat union middleschool at Periakudi.


Director, Centre for Affiliations, Anna University D Arivudainambi was the chief for the event. He distributed the prizes for the winning schools.
