VCK's Ravi Kumar emerges victorious in Villupuram

In a tough clash between arch rivals, VCK candidate Ravi Kumar was handed the upper hand in an electoral battle against opponent PMK in the Villupuram parliamentary constituency.

VCK General Secretary D Ravi Kumar who unsuccessfully contested from the Tiruvallur Lok Sabha constituency in the last general election, has emerged victorious in Villupuram constituency by a margin of 1 lakh votes

Villupuram, which has a total electorate of 14.27 lakh voters, is a prestigious battle for the PMK. However, this time, VCK in an alliance with DMK took the winning spot. While Villupuram PMK candidate received 4,07,047 in Villupuram parliamentary constituency, VCK candidate managed to consolidate 5,28,087 votes. Villupuram has recorded 74.96% turnout.
