Two rescued; four kidnappers arrested

The Coimbatore rural police arrested a four-member gang of kidnappers from Bengaluru and rescued two persons during a vehicle check on Friday.

COIMBATORE: A police team from Kovilpalayam station, who were involved in a vehicle check at Athipalayam area, intercepted two cars on suspicion and checks revealed the kidnap incident. The accused identified as A Habeeb Ahmed, 34, S Syed Ashraf, 32, S Subair Ahmed and M Mohammed Mosin, 25, all hailing from Bengaluru were arrested and two persons Mohammed Saif and Mohammed Yasin were rescued from their custody. Police said the kidnap was an outcome of some financial dispute. Further inquiries are on.
