TN on high alert

All Tamil Nadu Railway stations and sensitive locations have been put on high alert following a communique from the Director General of Police, Karnataka, warning of possible terror attacks on trains in south Indian cities.

A lorry driver had called the control room of the Bangalore City police and claimed that he had credible information that major cities in TN, Karnataka, Kerala, AP, Telangana, Puducherry, Goa and Maharashtra would be hit by terror attacks. The driver, who was on his way to Hosur, claimed the attacks would take place on trains and that 19 terrorists were stationed at Ramnad.


The Ramnad SP had also inspected the Pamban Bridge using the bomb squad later in the day.More on P4
