Many from Tamil Nadu are working in factories situated in Andhra Pradesh. Since the lockdown began, the workers received e-pass on a daily basis to travel from Tamil Nadu to Andhra Pradesh. It was quite a difficult process for workers to apply for e-pass on a daily basis. Therefore, the factory management made a request to the government to issue e-pass for workers for a period of one month instead of a daily e-pass. Following this, the Government of Tamil Nadu has permitted to issue e-pass with one month validity for workers. 

The government has put forth certain guidelines for this new arrangement. The workers should not apply for the one month e-pass in person, and the management must take full responsibility like organizing transport facilities to pick up the workers. The e-pass will be issued by District Collectors of respective districts.
