TN Governor, CM Palaniswami extend Deepavali greetings

Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and leaders of various political parties today extended their Deepavali greetings.

The festival of lights is being celebrated tomorrow in the state.

In an official statement, Purohit said, "May the Festival of Lights bring victory over evil, strengthen the bondage of kinship and brotherhood and lead us in our path towards building a clean and developed India."

The Governor extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Tamil Nadu for a happy, prosperous and green Deepavali.

In his greetings, Palaniswami said Deepavali marked the fall of evil, and recalled the festivities associated with it.

"I wish all round prosperity on this occasion," he said in a release.

Union Minister of state Pon Radhakrishnan, state BJP president Tamilisai Soundarrajan, DMDK founder Vijayakanth and PMK leaders S Ramadoss and Anbumani Ramadoss also extended their Deepavali greetings.
