TN Cabinet meeting: Edappadi Palaniswami inaugurates new schemes for school students, announces fresh quotas

The quota of 7.5 percent would ensure 500 students from government schools to study medicine.

During the Cabinet meeting, Tamil Nadu's CM Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced various schemes that will help school students tide through the Coronavirus crisis.

He first announced television classes for class 10 students through the government channels.

TN CM also launched free books scheme for the class 10 and 12 students.

Fresh intra-state quotas were also announced for the government schools students in medical admission.

The quota of 7.5 percent would ensure 500 students from government schools to study medicine.

Educational schemes apart, The cabinet meeting also saw the government inking MOUs of foreign investments to the tune of 5,000 crore rupees.
