Thiruvallur collector examines private school buses and vans

Quality and safety tests of 259 school vans and buses from 69 schools across Thiruvallur and Oothukottai is being done on Saturday. These tests are being done on the RTO ground. Not just the vehicles, even the permit and license of the drivers and helpers are checked. This checking takes place till 31st of this month.

The criteria of vehicle safety tests includes availability of brakes, emergency exit, windows, fire extinguishers, first-aid kit and such like.

This test is under the District Collector Maheshwari Ravikumar, RTO officer Jayabaskaran, Chief Educational Officer Rajendran, Deputy Superintend Gangadharan, Tahsildar Srinivasan, motor vehicle officers Kaveri and Ravikumar.
