Thevar name for Madurai airport: 150 arrested for protest in Madurai Airport

Around 150 people were arrested for attempting protest seeking Thevar's name for Madurai Airport.

Recently, various thevar factions have been raising demand urging Thevar's name for Madurai Airport.  

The Devarani Partriotic Front and Bharthiya Forward Block had called for a Rail Roko protest to enforce the demand.

More than 150 people were led by Moorthy, Sridhar Vandaiyar, Kathiravan,Thirumaran and Murugan, belonging to various Thevar factions. They assembled in front of Madurai railway station for protest.

The police arrested the protesters as they were unstoppable when the cops tried to stop.
