Spike in COVID-19 infections in 4 TN districts

Madurai has shown a rise in coronavirus infections for the past few days, with 300 more cases being reported on Thursday.

The southern district witnessed a surge in coronavirus infections on Thursday. Samples from 320 patients turned out to be positive leading the district total to 7,651.

The number of active cases in Madurai is 3,347 while 3,855 patients have recovered so far.

Coronavirus cases go up in Tiruvannamalai. 212 new cases on a single day led to over 3,500 (3,559) cases overall within the district.

Theni also witnessed 135 new cases taking the district tally to 2,110. Tirunelveli reported 2,229 with 131 new additions.
