Special trains for Magha festival to pass through Tamil Nadu

The train will depart from Varanasi on January 30 and reach Ernakulam Junction on February 1, with a return journey from Ernakulam on February 3.

CHENNAI: Ahead of the Magha Mahotsavam at Thirunavaya in Kerala, the Indian Railways has announced a special Varanasi-Ernakulam Express service, which will pass through several key stations in Tamil Nadu.

The train will from Varanasi on January 30 and reach Ernakulam Junction on February 1, with a return journey from Ernakulam on February 3.

It will halt at major Tamil Nadu stations including Perambur (Chennai), Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore and Podanur, making it especially useful for passengers from Chennai and western Tamil Nadu travelling to Kerala.

Reservations are open through regular railway booking channels.
