Rs 4 cr alloted for COVID-19 care in 5 dists

The state government issued a Government Order (GO) sanctioning Rs 4.09 crore for creation of new COVID-19 care centre and treatment charges in Tiruchy, Thanjavur, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Sivaganga districts.

For Tiruchy district, the state government had sanctioned Rs 1.01 crore towards COVID-19 treatment charges as four new COVID-19 treatment centres were proposed by the district administration.

For Thanjavur district Rs 93.43 lakh was allotted for establishment of a new COVID-19 care centre and recurring treatment charges. To Tiruvannamalai district, the government sanctioned Rs 90 lakh towards COVID-19 treatment charges for providing food for passengers from other states made to stay in special camps.

In Cuddalore, the state had sanctioned Rs 50 lakh for providing food, snacks for COVID-19 patients. Meanwhile, Rs 74.13 lakh was sanctioned to Sivaganga district for setting up of new beds and food and other miscellaneous charges.
