Members led by M Rengaraj converged at a wedding hall and passed a resolution to strengthen the hands of Deepa Jayakumar, the niece of late CM J Jayalalithaa. They said that they would commence the membership drive across the district and the districts where like-minded cadre are present. 

After concluding the membership drive, they said, they would present it before Deepa and would insist on the need for her leading the party. They claimed that they are the real AIADMK.
