Pongal bonus of Rs 1,000 announced for temple staffs by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department

The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department has issued a circular assenting bonus of Rs 1,000 for the temple staffs.

The money would be given to all irrespective of the time-structure of their work --- full-time, part-time and daily-wage workers --- all are eligible for the bonus money, said HR&CE Department's Commissioner Prabhakar.

However, all the workers should've worked no less than 240 days and more than six months from 2019-2020 to avail for the bonus. Those who worked less than 240 days would get a sum of amount according to their service, according to the statement.
