Periyar statue vandalised: Police conducts enquiry

A Periyar statue near Aranthangi Government Hospital was vandalised and the police are conducting an enquiry.

A Periyar statue near the Aranthangi Government Hospital, Pudhukottai was vandalised by some unknown persons, during the wee hours on April 8.

This created agitation among the party members, who staged protest, as soon as the incident came to light.

Sources said the police have filed a case and have started investigation.
