Palaniswami hands over Rs one crore solatium to slain SSI family

Palaniswami said, taking into account the supreme sacrifice made by the SSI announced a compensation of Rs one crore would be paid to his family.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today handed over a financial assistance of Rs one crore to the family of SSI Wilson, who was shot dead by two terror suspects in Kanniyakumari district last week.

In line with the announcement made by him on Friday last, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque to slain SSI's wife at the Secretariat and consoled them.

Palaniswami said, taking into account the supreme sacrifice made by the SSI announced a compensation of Rs one crore would be paid to his family.

He also said that government job would be given to one of the family members on compassionate grounds based on their qualifications.

The SSI has left behind his wife and two daughters.
