Candidates will be allowed in the exam centre only with a valid printed admit card.

More than 15 lakh candidates across the country have applied for the nation-wide examination to be held on May 5. From Tamil Nadu, 1,40,385 candidates are taking NEET this year – an increase of about 20,000 candidates from the State.

The results of NEET 2019 are expected to be declared on June 5.

The number of cities where exam centres will be set up has been increased to 14 in Tamil Nadu this year, as candidates had to struggle for preferred exam centres. With only 10 cities having exam centres last year, the candidates had to travel to even other States to appear for the exam.

This year, exam centres will be set up at Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Karur, Cuddalore, Nagercoil, Thanjavur, Salem, Vellore, Namakkal, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Tiruchy and Tirunelveli.
