Ministers inspect sites for Kalaignar memorial library

School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi along with local Ministers in Madurai inspected six probable sites for establishing the much awaited Kalaignar Memorial Library planned for Rs 70 crore. The library will come up on a sprawling two lakh square feet area.

Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration P Moorthy, Collector S Aneesh Sekhar, Commissioner of Madurai Corporation KP Karthikeyan and CEO Swaminathan accompanied the Minister, sources said. 

To fulfill the desires of people from various walks of life, Chief Minister MK Stalin has decided to build a library in memory of late Karunanidhi on Madurai soil. The inspection details would be furnished to the Chief Minister and he would take a final call on the site, Poyyamozhi told reporters here.
