Mild to moderate showers for next 5 days in TN: Chennai Meteorological Centre

Mild rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry for the next 48 hours, sources said.

According to the Chennai Meteorological Centre, mild to moderate rainfall is expected for the next 5 days in few places of Tamil Nadu due to the Southwest monsoon.

The Chennai Meteorological Centre said, mild rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry for the next 48 hours. The intensity of heat will be reduced as it is raining widely in northern parts of Tamil Nadu.

Rainfall is expected in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, Karaikkal, Pudukkottai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Ramanathapuram, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul, Thiruvannamalai and Villupuram districts.

The sky will look cloudy in the city and light showers are likely to hit some parts of the city.

In the last 24 hours, Vedasandur has recorded maximum rainfall of 7 cm. Devala in Ooty has recorded 4 cm and Periyar and Naduvattam has recorded 2 cm.
