TIRUCHY: A man murdered his father on Wednesday by dropping a grinding stone on his head for torturing his mother under the influence of alcohol.

Robert Kennedy (50), a farmer from Sethubavachatram, a habitual drunkard used to create ruckus at home under the influence of alcohol.

On Tuesday night, Kennedy had reportedly assaulted his wife Elezabeth (47) under influence of alcohol and their son Arockia Arul (25), attempted to pacify them.

But, Kennedy continued to assault Elizabeth pushing Arul aside. Soon, Arockia Arul grabbed the grinding stone and dropped it on his father’s head. Kennedy died on the spot.

On information, Sethubavachatram police retrieved the body and arrested Arockia Arul. Further investigations are on.
