Madurai District Collector: "Action if private hospitals are not opened"

The Madurai Collector has issued a stern warning that action would be taken if private hospitals are not opened, in view of unbridled Covid-19 pandemic in the district.

With people having been confirmed to be infected Covid-19 in Madurai district crossing 8,000, the Madurai District Collector has warned that stern action would be taken if private hospitals are not opened to the general public. Since most of the private hospitals have not been opened, allegations are rife that even ordinary diseases cannot be treated.

A study conducted by District Collector Vinay revealed that 120 city private hospitals remain unopened. Hence his order to immediately reopen the private hospitals.
