The Chennai Meteorological Department has reported on Thursday that low pressure will be formed over the next 48 hours in the Bay of Bengal, which will strengthen the southwest monsoon.

Due to this, there is a possibility of widespread heavy rains in some of parts of Tamil Nadu on 22nd and 23rd June.

As the Vayu cyclone took away all the moisture from air, conditions didnt favour the Southwest monsoon to intensify further. This low pressure developed in the Bay of Bengal will now strengthen the monsoon.

According to the Chennai Meteorological Department, there is high probability for the southwest monsoon to intensify in Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the next few days.
